We will collect personal information submitted to us including name, gender, mailing address, email address, telephone number and any other information specifically sent to us. As you interact with our websites, we may automatically collect information about your website browsing actions and patterns. We collect this personal data by using cookies. We only use cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation of this site (to keep you logged in).

STEM Racing Limited does not collect sensitive data, such as race, religion, or political affiliations via its websites. Where a user is under the age of 13, the information will only be obtained from a parent/guardian or teacher and cannot be provided by the young person.

How we use your personal data

Any personal data supplied to us may be used to communicate with you or your team / teacher in relation to the World Finals event that you are registering for and to let you know about changes to the challenge, offerings from STEM Racing Limited and our partners or for market research purposes. We will not sell, share, trade or license any of your personal information to others without your express consent. However, we reserve the right to disclose your information if requested by the Police or Government authority in connection with any investigations concerning your activities while visiting the site.

We will make all reasonable efforts to safeguard the security of your information but please be aware that we cannot guarantee the security or transmission of data over the internet. STEM Racing Limited takes every precaution to protect users' information from unauthorised access, use or disclosure in accordance with the data protection Act. Access to personal information is given to our employees and our database development contracted organisation where necessary in the execution of their duties and all employees who have access to personal data or are associated with the handling of that data are obliged to respect the confidentiality of that data.

Data Storage

Some or all of your data may be stored outside of the European Economic Area (“the EEA”) (The EEA consists of all EU member states, plus Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein). You are deemed to accept and agree to this by using our site and submitting information to us. If we do store data outside the EEA, we will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your data is treated as safely and securely as it would be within the UK and under the General Data Protection Regulations. Personal data will remain confidential and will ONLY be used for the purpose it was submitted, this being the STEM Racing World Finals. Data will be kept on our systems for 6 months following the World Finals event date to facilitate certain post event communication. Following this it will be deleted.

Idium Technology Ltd. are our technical provider. Access to data by Idium Technology staff and STEM Racing staff is via an individual password protected user log in. Only staff that need to process data have access and have been fully trained with our personal data policy. Microsoft 365
We use the Microsoft 365 suit of programmes including SharePoint to deliver the World Finals. Your data will be processed using these programmes and stored on our SharePoint cloud data drive.
